CCAE Playwriting Studio *In-Person*

In this course, students will be equipped with tools to write their own playscripts and develop their texts through staged-reading workshops in a studio. The class will be focusing on theatre literary analysis, the field of playwrights; examining select works, strategies for authoring characters, storylines, times, locations, etc., active learning strategies, and acting exercises for playwriting, creative writing prompts, moments of play script discussion, and developing a playwriting perspective and theatre maker toolkit. The course will end in a final showcase reading of the students' written scripts.
