The Italian Language - A Journey through History: L' Accademia della Crusca *In-Person* *NEW*

How did Italian become the language we speak today? These three course modules explore the fascinating story of Italian from its Latin origins to modern usage, through literature, history, and cultural debates. We will discover how a "national language" was created, why Italy has so many dialects, and how Italian continues to evolve today. No background in linguistics is required. Please note the language requirements for each module.

Module 3: L'Accademia della Crusca

Explore the history and present-day work of the world's oldest language academy through authentic materials and guided discussion in Italian. This class will be conducted in Italian. Intermediate level (CEFR B1+ and above) required.
