Brazilian Portuguese: Beginner Level 4 *In-Person*

This level is for students who have at least 35 hours of classroom time in the language within the last 2 years, can ready very short, simple texts, can communicate in routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar topics, and can use a series of phrases to discuss in simple terms areas of immediate personal relevance. Following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference, students at this level will learn to handle short social exchanges, read short, simple texts, write simple, personal letters, and talk about past events. Maria Fernanda Salles

Maria Fernanda Salles was born in Rio de Janeiro and graduated from UNISUAM (Rio de Janeiro).

Maria has been teaching Portuguese and Spanish for 15 years. In Brazil, she worked for a Public School and The British School teaching Spanish. In 2014 she moved to the Dominican Republic and taught at the UASD (Universidad Autonoma de Santo Domingo) known as the first university in America. She also taught Portuguese for almost 3 years at the Centro Cultural Brasil República Dominicana. This cultural center is part of the Embassy of Brazil in Santo Domingo, capital of the Dominican Republic. During the pandemic she also started to teach Portuguese online for Casa do Brasil in Mexico.

Maria loves books, cultural activities, traveling, dogs and everything about languages and culture.
