Instant Guitar for Beginners *In-Person*

This is a guitar class for beginners on steroids! We’ll use innovative practice methods to get faster and better results without taxing your valuable time. Anyone can buy a chord book, look up songs on YouTube, or download a tab, but this class will show you how to use these resources. We’ll focus on how to put a chord progression together with rhythm and expression to play songs using strumming and some fingerpicking. You’ll leave the first lesson after having started playing your first song! Students must bring their guitar or rent one. Instructor, Jeremy Dohmann

I am a recent graduate with a BS in Linguistics and Computer Science and an MS in Computer science. I currently work on conversational AI at Meta (nee Facebook). I have had a lifelong love of mathematics and problem solving, and discovered the joys of programming while in high school. I believe learning to think algorithmically is one of the most enriching journeys a person can embark upon, and that computer science really is for anyone with the determination to learn. I have been blessed with many passionate and gifted teachers, and I hope that I can offer that experience to the CCAE community.
