Making a Strong Image *In-Person* *NEW*

In this one-day intensive workshop we will review the fundamentals of photography and learn how to make a strong image using your camera of choice. We will discuss the role of exposure, light and framing in photography and use a series of practical exercises to learn how to use these elements intentionally . The class is open to all levels. Students are expected to be familiar with their chosen camera's basic functions. Instructor: Anastasia Sierra

Anastasia Sierra

Anastasia Sierra is a portrait and fine art photographer based in Cambridge, MA. She currently divides her time between commissioned projects, personal work and teaching. Anastasia’s work explores the themes of motherhood, womanhood and relationships. She uses light, color and texture to create vivid and intimate images that inhabit the space between the real and the imaginary and provide a sense of escape, while capturing the beauty of everyday life.

Anastasia graduated from the Center for Digital Imaging Arts (Boston University) and has attended workshops at ICP, School of Visual Arts and MassArt. Her work has been exhibited in a number of group shows.
