Introduction to Gender Affirming Voice *In-Person* *NEW*

If you're not satisfied with your voice, you can change it! In this class, we will explore the various aspects of the human voice and learn how to manipulate them in order to help transform your voice into one that better expresses your unique identity. By the end of class, you'll have plenty of exercises and resources to help you find a target voice and practice maintaining that target voice.

Quinn Gutman

Quinn Gutman (they/them/he/him) is a trans nonbinary singer in the Cambridge and Boston areas. Outside of CCAE, they are a private voice teacher at WholeTone Music Academy, specializing in gender affirming voice and providing a safe space for queer singers. As a performer, they've sung a variety of styles from classical, to musical theater, to indie folk. They have performed in many operas and musicals including Anima in Hildegard's "Ordo Virtutum" and Mordred in Lerner and Loewe's "Camelot". They are also a composer and have written music for themself, and commissions for several musicians and ensembles. They hold two masters degrees in vocal performance and music composition from the Longy School of Music.
