In this workshop, we will discuss how the voice plays a role in gender presentation and perception, how the voice produces sound in the first place, and how that can be changed. Quinn Gutman

Quinn Gutman (they/them/he/him) is a trans nonbinary singer in the Cambridge and Boston areas. Outside of CCAE, they are a private voice teacher at WholeTone Music Academy, specializing in gender affirming voice and providing a safe space for queer singers. As a performer, they've sung a variety of styles from classical, to musical theater, to indie folk. They have performed in many operas and musicals including Anima in Hildegard's "Ordo Virtutum" and Mordred in Lerner and Loewe's "Camelot". They are also a composer and have written music for themself, and commissions for several musicians and ensembles. They hold two masters degrees in vocal performance and music composition from the Longy School of Music.
