Intermediate Ballet with Shannon *In-Person*

This intermediate level of ballet is for students who have become proficient in the foundations of dance technique. Students will engage in more complex combinations of steps, and classes are taught at a faster pace. In addition to expanding our ballet vocabulary, we will fine-tune existing techniques and explore musicality, fluidity, and connection in our movement. The class will include time at the barre, center work, across-the-floor exercises, and stretching. Please wear comfortable dance clothing and ballet slippers. Street shoes are not acceptable. Prior ballet experience is required.

Shannon Fitzgerald has studied classical ballet and contemporary dance, and explored various styles, for over 15 years at Southern New Hampshire Ballet, Kathy Blake Dance Studios, and throughout Boston. She continued her work as a company member dancer, competition dancer, and board member of the Simmons College Dance Company. Shannon began teaching classes in 2013, and has since worked teaching ballet, contemporary, jazz, and musical theater dance at The Village Dance School in Brookline, MA and Lochearn Camp for Girls in Post Mills, Vermont. Shannon works with beginner to advanced dance students, ages 5 to 65 and beyond, to share the joy of dance.
