French: Beginner Level 2 *In-Person*

French is the official language of 29 countries. It has a long history as an international language of literature and scientific standards and is a primary or second language of many international organisations. French has been called one of the three most useful languages for business by Bloomberg Businessweek. Join their ranks in this series of engaging courses, emphasizing spoken production and interaction. Beginner Level 2 is for students who have at least 10 hours of classroom time in French within the last year, can ask and answer simple questions in areas of immediate need in French, and can use simple phrases and sentences to describe where they live and the people they know. Following the guidelines of the Common European Framework of Reference, students at this level will learn to identify common words concerning their immediate concrete surroundings, read very simple sentences, ask and answer simple questions on very familiar topics, and write a short, simple note.
