Afro Cuban Dance *In-Person* *NEW*

In this Afro-Cuban dance workshop, we will learn individual and partner steps for the rhythms that constitute the rumba genre, as well as the various orishas that comprise the Yoruba pantheon. In addition, we will explore small choreographies and examine the history of each dance.

Instructor

Leonardo Nevarro

Professional dancer with more than 20 years of experience, graduated from the Cuban cabaret school (Tropiana), also a folk dancer and teacher at the school of art instructors in the city of Matanzas, Cuba. With experience as director of community projects, choreographer and teacher of children and adolescents, I was a member of several companies in Cuba that defended popular dances, traditions and folklore of Latin America as well as African influences.
