Memoir, Personal Essay & Beyond: Creative Nonfiction Crash Course *In-Person*

Take this class to learn about one of the most exciting fields of writing in contemporary literature. To write compelling true stories (nonfiction), you need to familiarize yourself with the basics of imaginative writing (creative), including character, voice, exposition, plot, imagery, and detail. We will read excerpts from memoirs, essays, flash, and micro-essays to deepen our appreciation of this innovative genre. The class includes guided writing prompts and discussion.
