Found Object Printmaking *In-Person* *NEW*

This eight week class will explore printmaking with everyday found objects and things that might otherwise end up in the trash. Each two week segment will have a main technique and additional demos and smaller techniques that students can explore. This gives time for students to learn faster or slower. The first two weeks we will explore creating monotypes with layering colors, objects, and botanicals like leaves and flowers. Next we will learn relief printmaking with woodcarving on scraps of wood, then intaglio printmaking with drypoints on scavenged plexiglass, and finally collographs. Students will get exposure to a wide range of studio printmaking techniques and a couple of techniques that are easy to do at home. Instructor: Jo Elliott Gutierrez
