Introduction to Punch Needle: Coastal Textures *In-Person* *NEW*

Capture the beauty of coastal flora, fauna and fungi using punch needle embroidery, a meditative and versatile fiber art!! In this class, you will learn the basics of punch needle, as well as the many abstract sculptural possibilities of the medium. You will go from finding inspiration from nature to preparing your materials, familiarizing yourself with the embroidery tool and completing a work of textile art. You will become comfortable with creating a range of textures, and using traditional punch needle techniques to make fibrous representations of seaweed, algae, lichen, tidal creatures, and more.
