Class Supply List

Class Supply List:

• Pencil (2H-H) and an eraser
  
  Watercolors:
  I prefer Winsor and Newton brand, but there are many others out there! If you already have paints from another company and they are student or artist grade, then feel free to use them! The colors that I feel are most important are:
• Lemon Yellow
• Cadmium Yellow
• Indigo
• Alizarin Crimson
• Vandyke Brown
• Burnt Umber
• Phthalo Blue
• Ultramarine Blue
  
  Other colors that are ALSO important but not absolutely necessary:
• Naples Yellow
• Burnt Sienna
• Sap Green
• Olive Green
• Rose Madder
  If you want a useful travel set that has many of these colors and doesn’t cost a ton, I would recommend any of the sets found here:
  
  As for paper, if you don’t already own paper or have a preference, check out Arches watercolor pads in 9x12” or 12x18”. I personally prefer cold press, but as long as it is at least 140 lb, I’m happy.
  
• Watercolor Palette with both slanted trays and at least one flat mixing area (the more the merrier)
  
  Watercolor Brushes: If you choose to buy individually, go for:
• Mop
• Round #2/0,Round #0, Round #2, Round #4, Round #6
• Either a small jar of Winsor and Newton ink in white or a white gel pen
