Watercolor Brushes: If you choose to buy individually here is my suggestions or you can buy a 6 brush variety pack and it will work just fine.

• 1/2" flat

Paper: 90 or 140 lb hot or cold pressed paper. I recommend D'arches watercolor paper. 9' x 12" minimum. If you get a watercolor paper block it gives you some rigidity to paint on without needing tape and a board.

Drawing paper / sketch book

Tape: Gummed paper tape or 2" masking

Pencil (either HB, H or 2B)

Kneaded Eraser

Drawing Board Approx 16" x 20"

A folding chair, stool or blanket to sit on.

WATER to paint with and drink and something to act as reservoir

Optional items:

• Cloth or paper towel
• Snacks
• Sunscreen and other protection from the sun.
