Join us at Cambridge Center for Adult Education's Spring 2026 opening reception of Recent Works on Friday, May 8 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Celebrate the showcased artists, CCAE's visual arts department, and our community of lifelong learners! Refreshments and wine will be served. This event is open to the public and free to attend. Three CCAE students will receive the esteemed Berta Golahny Student Awards and a $200 cash prize, to be chosen from works in the exhibition, determined by jury.
The Berta Golahny Student Awards
Berta Golahny was a longtime visual arts teacher at CCAE, from 1959 to 2001. Her family provided a gift to create the Berta Golahny Awards in her memory. The gift was originally designed to support awards from 2016 - 2018. CCAE and the Golahny family decided to continue the student awards tradition annually.
