It is with a heavy heart that we share the news that Mary-Catherine Deibel passed away early Thursday morning after battling a serious illness for the past several weeks.
Former co-owner of the iconic Upstairs on the Square and the unofficial "Mayor of Harvard Square", Mary-Catherine was a kind and generous person who made a positive impact on all those that were lucky enough to know her. Over the last six years as Director of Development at CCAE and before that as a board member, she became part of the heart and soul of CCAE. She will be sorely missed by all of her many friends and family.
We plan to honor Mary-Catherine at our fundraiser, Dumplings, Of Course! next Thursday, June 8th at 5:30-8 to celebrate and enjoy Mary-Catherine's last great party that she created - she wouldn't want it any other way!
