Brendan Hogan

Brendan Hogan has been a part of Boston radio for more than 20 years. Beginning while a writing student at Emerson College, he hosted Bluesology on WERS, and from 2002-2009 he helmed the popular Blues on WGBH. In 2011 WUMB invited Brendan to develop a new Saturday night music program, which led to him becoming the host of The Morning Show, broadcasting every weekday from 6-10 AM. In 2018, Brendan was asked to create a new blues music camp for adults to join the existing roster of annual WUMB Acoustic Music Camps. In 2022, he began programming and facilitating a series of seminars exploring aspects of twentieth century American music, including courses on John Hammond Sr. and the history of the Chitlin’ Circuit. As a singer-songwriter, Brendan has released two albums, Long Night Coming and SilverQuick. He is currently earning an MA in American Studies at UMass Boston.
