Freeform Crochet Sweater Design *In-Person* *NEW*
Learn how to design your own crochet sweater using freeform crochet techniques such as colorwork and intarsia. In this class, we will learn to design a top that fits your body shape and discuss important design aspects such as drape and shape. We will experiment with using yarns of different weights and hooks of varying sizes. By the end of the class, you will be well on your way to completing your crochet sweater. Basic crochet techniques such as chain, single crochet, increases, and decreases are required. Please bring your yarn. Instructor: Olivia Hochstadt

Olivia Hochstadt
Olivia Hochstadt (she/her) is a fiber artist and all-around art lover. In 2021, while pursuing a BA in Art History and Spanish at Colby College, she was awarded the first-ever Colby Global Fellowship to study knitwear and wool in Shetland, the Faroe Islands, and Chile. Since 2021, Olivia has worked with the Maine Prisoner Advocacy Coalition to teach art history courses in Maine's prisons and curate exhibitions of art made by Maine's incarcerated artists. Olivia teaches knitting, crochet, and beading at various art centers around Boston and enjoys spreading the love of art-making!
