Russian: Beginner Level 3 *In-Person*
This level is for students who have studied Russian for a couple of years in a classroom setting and have a basic command of the language, are familiar with everyday expressions, and can understand and produce more complex sentences. Students at this level will continue to learn to identify the highest frequency vocabulary related to areas of most immediate personal relevance, read short texts, and practice communicating about familiar topics. Katya Maher holds an M.A. in Applied Linguistics from UMass-Boston. She is a native speaker of Russian and has over 10 years of experience teaching Russian and EFL/ESL in Russia and in the U.S. She has been teaching at the CCAE since 2004.
