Painting From Life: The Figure (Studio School) *In-Person*
This class will focus on accurate observation and structural understanding of the human figure. We will seek to translate these complex subjects to their simplest terms and methodically build our painting from a foundation of simple but essential color relationships. We will work with a nude live model from direct observation. Instructor: Jeremy Durling

Jeremy Durling began to draw and paint from the figure at the age of sixteen through a high school dual enrollment program. He received an Associates Degree from the Mount Wachusett Community College with a concentration in painting under John Pacheco. He moved on to Massachusetts College of Art, where Nancy Mccarthy and Christopher Chippendale would become his mentors. It was at Massart that Jeremy first studied with George Nick. Massart's prestigious George Nick prize allowed Jeremy to spend 5 months seeing Europe and studying in Florence. He graduated from Massart with a BFA in painting in 2009, and continued his lessons with George independently. He studied with George for a total of four years. Jeremy is represented in Boston by the Sloane Merrill Gallery. Website: jeremydurling.com
