Instructor

Augusto Lino

With his first bar job in the early 2000s as a barback in New York City, Augusto Lino, or just Lino as most of his regulars know him, had a chance to catch the cocktail revival from the beginning, and has by now accumulated a career in a variety of roles on the most diverse settings: from the Brandy Library in Tribeca to the decorated Hungry Mother in Kendall Square. Relocating to Somerville in 2005, he would soon run the Bar at UpStairs on the Square, becoming known to those who frequent Harvard Square, and receiving local and national recognition. His combined experience behind the bar and as a consultant, as well as his work as a creator and mentor have touched many in Cambridge and the greater Boston area. Lino has been with the Charles Hotel since 2020 and is involved in running multiple bars there. He joined the selective CAP program at Tales of the Cocktail in 2023.
